I had so much fun with this piece trying my best to fool the eye.
Fascinated with cinemagraphs for some time now, I've been seeing them pop up all over the internet. Inspired by the thought of mixing a little technology with my art, I have learned how to accomplish this amazing visual effect adding slight motion to a still image and making it come alive!
Focusing on the eye and cheek this butterfly extends up and over my models ear onto the side of her shaved head. This adds to the optical illusion making it difficult to tell what part of the body its painted on, until it is revealed to you!
I cant wait to see what kind of works this piece inspires in the body painting world! 🙂
